The 1st Scouts contributed 2 Scouts to SCW A Team and 4 Scouts to SCW B Team for the County Scouts Football competition 2016. Both teams were scratch teams who had not played any competitive matches before the competition. SCW A won all of its league games but lost 2:0 in the final to the winners Reay Valley. Reay Valley’s team were made up of Scouts from just one group from their district and who play regularly together as a team in a league. SCW B were put together at the last minute after three of the seven selected SCW B members dropped out due to other commitments. We drafted in three last minute replacements but this did effect the level of ability in the team as a whole. But despite of this they still managed to finish a valiant 3rd in their league well done everyone who took part and congratulations to SCW A on your Silver medals.
